In spring 2025, Coded by: is offering three different classes of Cb101: Explore - sessions for elementary school, middle school, and high school students. Each class will be tailored for the age group and offer a dynamic introduction to tech and innovation.
Elementary School
Students will learn the basics and create their first business ideas and designs using age-appropriate tools like Canva. Areas of focus include entrepreneurship (business concept development with guidance and/or options to choose from), design (use of Canva for a one-page website design), web development (introduction to HTML and CSS by modifying a provided template), and presentations (students present their business concept and webpage).
Middle School
Students will learn the basics and create their first business ideas and designs using age-appropriate tools like Figma. Areas of focus include entrepreneurship (business concept development with guidance and/or options to choose from), design (use of Figma for a one-page website design), web development (introduction to HTML and CSS by modifying a provided template), and presentations (students present their business concept and webpage).
High School
Students will dive deeper into the basics of coding and startup concepts. They will create their first business ideas and designs using industry-standard tools like Figma and engage in more thorough problem validation. Areas of focus include tech-based startup development (students conduct thorough problem identification and validation to develop tech-based startup ideas), entrepreneurial concepts (exploration of advanced startup topics, such as equity), research skills (in-depth problem validation and solution ideation), design (use of Figma for a one-page website design), web development (mastery of HTML and CSS by coding webpages from scratch), and presentations (creation of a basic pitch deck).
